The Shack

The Shack is an artwork I created to learn and experiment with Substance Modeler. The Shack, boat and rocks were created in Modeler. I didn't use other modeling tools to process the meshes or create UVs. For the Boat and Rocks, I exported from Modeler and used the UV options to create UVs for texturing in Substance Painter. For the Shack, I exported as USD and didn't create any UVs as the mesh was very complex. For texturing, I used the new Substance For Unreal plugin's Triplanar Template to add Substance Materials to the geometry without worrying about UV coordinates. 
All textures and materials are created from Substance Materials. I used Painter to texture the boat and rocks. The ground terrain was created using the Landscape tools in Unreal. I created a custom Landscape material that uses Substance Textures generated from the Substance Plugin. I created 3 material layers so that I could paint a dirt, wet sand and small rock material on the terrain surface. I was able to texture the shack by importing Substance materials and dragging and dropping on the mesh parts.
